Heritage
NLN Farms is a fourth-generation farm with over 25 years of expertise in aquaculture. Rooted in family values, integrity, and a dedication to quality, we provide premium crawfish that bring people together.
More than just a farm, we prioritize sustainability and conservation, ensuring a healthier future for generations to come. Our commitment to hard work and tradition is carried forward, preserving a legacy of respect, community, and connection.
Jones Family Farm
Before aquaculture, the Jones family worked this land through row crops and a small number of cattle, enough to help support the household and make practical use of the property.
Pieces of those early years are still here. The old barns and sheds, built from timber cut off the property, sit back off the paths with tractors and equipment parked where they were last used. Some might see them as forgotten, but to us they mark where the farm started and the work that shaped it.

Catfish Farming
The farm changed directions when the first catfish ponds were built, with the first one constructed in 1999. It was something completely new, and we learned it piece by piece, managing water quality, feeding schedules, aerators, and the tiresome work that came with keeping fish alive and healthy 24/7.
Nick grew up in the middle of it. He spent his childhood feeding fish, checking water quality, pulling nets, and helping his grandfather keep aerators and equipment running. Those years shaped the way he viewed the farm and sparked the interest in aquaculture that still drives things here today.
Crawfish Farming
As Nick’s grandad gradually got out of catfish, one of the ponds eventually shut down. Filling it in was the easy choice, but Nick didn’t want to bury a part of the farm he grew up working on. Crawfish gave the pond a purpose instead of an ending.
It was also a way to keep the farm true to its roots. Nick wanted the place to stay alive; to keep passing down the same work ethic and conservation values his family taught him. Crawfish offered a way to keep the farm working, care for the land the right way, and continue a tradition instead of ending one.

Sustainable Future
At NLN Farms, we believe good stewardship starts at home. Our farm is shaped by generations of hands-on knowledge, but it's guided just as much by the wildlife we share it with. Every pond we manage, every ecosystem we create, reflects our promise to preserve this land for the animals who count on it. Sustainability here isn't a side effort- it's woven into every decision we make.
